Day 1: Arrival in Serengeti
On Day 1, you’ll follow the wildebeest migration if it’s packed in Serengeti and may witness some thrilling animal actions such as eating, fighting, hunting, and sometimes killing. Serengeti has countless bird species, including ostrich, secretary bird, herons, crane crown, and many more. You’ll drive to your camp before or during the sunset for dinner and overnight at Thorn Tree camp at Central Serengeti. All meals are included.
Day 2: Full-Day Serengeti Migration Safari
On Day 2, you’ll leave the camp as early as 6:30 for a sunrise game drive with packed breakfast and lunch boxes in your safari vehicle. An early morning game drive may allow you to spot some cat families on the road as they try to avoid the morning mist. You may also see other predators returning from their long night of hunting or pride of lionesses organizing a morning ambush or eating along the road. After a break for breakfast somewhere in the bush, you’ll proceed with your game drive until lunchtime, which can be served at the Seronera picnic site. After lunch and a little rest, you may have a short visit at the Seronera visitor’s center before resuming your afternoon game drive. You’ll drive back to your camp before or during the sunset for dinner and overnight at Thorn Tree Camp at Central Serengeti. All meals are included.
Day 3: Serengeti to Arusha or back to Zanzibar
On Day 3, after breakfast, you’ll drive to Arusha with an en-route game drive. If you wish, you can visit Masai village on the way (optional). The driving is along Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority and across the Great East African Rift Valley. You’ll arrive in Arusha late afternoon for overnight (at your own expense) or be dropped off at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) for departure. KLM can be the best option if flying the same day, as it leaves JRO at 21:30.
